Report: D.C. United, Alhaji Kamara agree to contract
Reuters
D.C. United has reportedly completed the signing of Sierra Leone striker Alhaji Kamara out of Swedish outfit Norrkoping, according to Steven Goff of the Washington Post, despite the fact that the 22-year-old suffers from a congenital heart condition.
D.C. United has finalized deal with Sierra Leone striker Ahaji Kamara, 22, from Norrkoping (Sweden). I'll have full details soon ...
— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) May 10, 2016
Goff goes on to report that while Kamara will join the team, he will not immediately be available to play, since he requires a "preseason" to regain fitness. The club will also need to waive or trade a current player on the roster in order to free up an international roster spot.
