What would the Suicide Squad look like if it was made up of MLS stars?

With "Suicide Squad" now out on the big screen, it's a perfect opportunity to imagine which Major League Soccer stars most resemble the prime characters from the movie.

Here are five MLS personalities that can be compared to the villains-turned-heroes of the Suicide Squad:

Deadshot - Andrea Pirlo

Deadshot is the most accurate marksman in the DC Comics universe, a fact Oliver Queen certainly learned the hard way and Batman is sure to keep in mind during their run-ins.

It's fitting, then, that a character renowned for his ability to take composed shots and hit his target should be played by the one player who can hit the most accurate dead ball, not just in MLS, but around the world - New York City FC midfield ace Andrea Pirlo.

Joker - Kei Kamara

What is Joker, if not chaos in human form? The caped crusader's perennial foil revels in the absurd and the unpredictable, but push his buttons and no one is safe, friend or foe.

New England Revolution striker Kei Kamara is just as chaotic. A handful through and through, he is capable of exerting his will on his targets with ease. But when crossed by former Columbus Crew teammate Federico Higuain, there was no holding back. He was traded for feuding on-field with the Argentine, but remember ... if you gotta go, go with a smile!

Harley Quinn - Quincy Amarikwa

Equal parts funny, crazy, scary, and seductive, Harley Quinn takes the trope of femme fatale, turns the dial up to 11 and then revels in the ruckus of it all. When she's not fawning over Mr. J, she's off causing trouble as only she can.

Finding her equivalent in MLS wasn't easy, but we've settled on San Jose Earthquakes striker Quincy Amarikwa. Often dismissed as a sidekick to Chris Wondolowski, he's actually quite potent in front of goal. Each time Amarikwa looks to find a new team to love, he ends up being traded, as no one seems to know just quite what to do with him - it's a darn shame, isn't it puddin'?

Rick Flag - Michael Bradley

As the Bradley name commands respect from both manager Bob Bradley and midfielder Michael Bradley, Rick Flag also commands a strong family name, with three generations of this Army family bearing the name.

An elite soldier, Rick Flag worked as a government agent and is the field commander of the Suicide Squad. Toronto FC captain Bradley, referred to affectionately as "The General," holds a similar role for both club and country.

That it takes the mention of family to illicit a smile from either is also a trait these two men share, as their otherwise-stern, work-first demeanor makes them the serious, silent, and slightly angry types.

Killer Croc - Nigel De Jong

Realistically, LA Galaxy midfielder Nigel De Jong is one bad day away from actually attempting to eat one of his opponents.

For now, he's content delivering brutal, red-card worthy slide tackles instead.
