Talk about late dramatics!
Minutes after David Villa scored a leveling goal for New York City FC off an Andrea Pirlo pass, the Columbus Crew went down yet another goal after conceding a penalty in added time and Villa, confident and cool as you like, gave his team a 3-2 lead.
But the Crew managed to salvage an otherwise disastrous situation in the 95th minute of play, with Ethan Finlay smacking home a bouncing ball in the box after NYCFC scrambled and failed to clear a free-kick.
Finlay's goal - his second on the day - also set the MLS record for most consecutive home draws with six deadlocked matches in a row at MAPFRE Stadium, leaving the club below the playoff line in the Eastern Conference.
To add insult to injury, Patrick Vieira was shown a red card after the whistle was blown.
