FC Dallas announced Thursday the acquisition of forward Cristian Colman as a Young Designated Player out of Paraguayan first-division outfit Nacional Asuncion.
Colman joins an FC Dallas team as the third of three possible Designated Player signings, alongside Mauro Diaz and Carlos Gruezo.
"Cristian Colman is a guy who will come here and score goals," FC Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo said in a club-issued statement. "Hopefully, he can help us to win an MLS Cup and a CONCACAF championship. We're really excited."
The 6-foot Paraguayan, 22, had 18 goals in 65 appearances with Asuncion and has also made three appearances for the Paraguay Under-23 national team.
