Toronto FC's surge is over.
On Friday, TFC, in search of its seventh win in a row, drew 1-1 with the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena, ending the Reds' club-record winning streak at six games. The match's opening goal came in the 38th minute, when Bradley Wright-Phillips' acrobatic overhead kick completed a well-executed set piece.

TFC responded in the 70th minute as Benoit Cheyrou leveled the score. An errant strike from TFC defender Chris Mavinga landed in Cheyrou's path, who headed the ball past Luis Robles for the equalizer.
