Schweinsteiger: All-Stars can focus on World Cup if they beat Real Madrid
MLS All-Stars can set their sights on football's most coveted prize with a win over Real Madrid on Wednesday, according to Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The Chicago Fire midfielder, competing in his first All-Star game, met with the media Tuesday to preview the match, saying he and his MLS teammates will be eager to win the encounter against last season's Champions League winner.

Schweinsteiger also predicted a bright future for the league's All-Stars with a triumph over Real Madrid.
"We want to win against the best team in Europe," he said. "If we can beat them, then maybe then we can also look for to winning the World Cup."
Schweinsteiger's tongue-in-cheek comment was greeted with laughter as the famous blunder by one journalist at his unveiling earlier this year was fresh in the minds of the MLS press corps.
His introduction to the North American press took an odd turn when a bemused Schweinsteiger was asked about Chicago's chances of winning the World Cup with him in the fold.
