USWNT sets another merchandise record after World Cup win
United States fans were quick to open their wallets after the women's national team claimed its fourth World Cup title.
Online retailer Fanatics sold more USWNT championship merchandise in the first hour following the team's win Sunday than it did during the entire first day after the U.S. claimed the 2015 title, according to Action Network's Darren Rovell.

The USWNT also set a merchandise record for Nike during the 2019 Women's World Cup; Nike CEO Mark Parker revealed in a recent earnings call that the company has sold more USWNT home jerseys on its website than any other women's or men's soccer kit in a single season.
