MLS Game Summary - Colorado at Seattle
Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Marco Pappa's first half goal gave the Seattle Sounders a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night at CenturyLink Field.
The Sounders won four of their previous five games prior to the Sporting match, but Sigi Schmid's side was unable to break down a determined SKC defense and had to settle for a point.
The Sounders opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Pappa's shot from outside the box found the top right corner to give Seattle a 1-0 lead.
In the second half Seattle put the pressure on the Rapids to increase its lead, but each shot just missed wide.
In the last few minutes of the match Colorado had their best chance of the game when Juan Ramirez took a left footed shot from outside the box but Sounders keeper Stefan Frei came up with a huge save.
