It's official: Major League Soccer's 22nd franchise will be known as Atlanta United FC.

The expansion team unveiled its name, logo, and club colors on Tuesday night at a midtown establishment in Atlanta, where thousands of supporters had also gathered to watch the U.S. men's national team kick off its Gold Cup campaign versus Honduras.

As reported by Brian Straus of Sports Illustrated in June, the logo features a prominent 'A' and the club's colors are red, yellow/gold, and black.

Of course, given their similar color scheme, the Atlanta Hawks were quick to express their approval of the aesthetic.

Oh, and what unveiling in Atlanta would be complete without Ludacris?

Atlanta will take the pitch in 2017 in a $1.4-billion, 71,000-capacity stadium that includes a retractable roof and is across the street from the Georgia Dome. The Atlanta Falcons will also be a tenant of the ground, as Home Depot co-founder Arthur Blank owns both teams.
