VIDEO: Montreal forward Oduro robs Tally Hall, scores (illegal) goal
Montreal Impact forward Dominic Oduro scored an interesting little equalizing goal against Orlando City on Saturday night.
It seemed super illegal and likely should not have counted, but it was interesting nonetheless.
Have a look:
Don't think that is allowed. You be the judge. #CityGIFs

Section 12 (page 112) of the FIFA Laws dictates: "When a goalkeeper has gained possession of the ball with his hands, he cannot be challenged by an opponent."
In this instance, it seems quite clear that Oduro tapped the ball out of goalkeeper Tally Hall's hands, which violates that rule. But the goal was given and stood, and the two teams entered the locker rooms at 1-1.
Toronto FC, the Columbus Crew, and the New England Revolution won't mind; Montreal winning or drawing against Orlando clinches a playoff spot for the aforementioned three teams.
Montreal likely won't care, either. It's the playoff hunt - everyone is hungry.
Oduro a marqué dans les dernières minutes de la 1ère demie.
