The new crest, which was leaked earlier in the week, features a similar red, black, and white color scheme and retains the eagle that the club is known for.
Tom Hunt, the team's COO, said the new look "is more of a modern evolution than a revolution." The team's head coach, Ben Olsen, gushed over the change as well.
"It's completely grown on me over the last four or five months," Olsen said. "It's great, I think the message of evolving with this club is important: Not only as a club, [but] with the new stadium coming. I'm an interesting perspective to this whole deal, because I'm a part of the tradition, and the past. And I still think it's important for this club to move forward – the future is really bright with this club.
"Life goes on, man. It evolves. It moves forward."
The team will debut the new look on a new home shirt at the top of the 2016 regular season.
