FC Dallas acquires 1st pick in Re-Entry Draft from Chicago
Kevin Jairaj / Reuters
The Chicago Fire has traded its first pick in the 2015 MLS Re-Entry Draft to FC Dallas in exchange for general allocation money of an undisclosed amount and Dallas' natural 17th overall Re-Entry Draft pick.
The trade was orchestrated just three hours prior to the draft and, as such, Dallas has the first overall pick. Dallas must have a player in mind in order to make the swap.
The draft order is determined in reverse placement of the 2015 regular-season standings.
