Brandon Vincent is off to Toyota Park.
The Chicago Fire selected the Stanford left-back fourth overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday, getting the pick in a trade with New York City FC and making a move that instantly addresses an area that was a consistent issue for the club last season.
In Vincent, the Fire get a two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year who is equally capable of getting forward down the left flank - the former Stanford captain scored 13 goals during his collegiate career - and should immediately slot into the starting lineup for the upcoming campaign.
