Canadian-born midfielder Richie Laryea is off to the sunshine in Orlando.
The Lions selected this Generation Adidas center-mid 7th overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday, and in Laryea, the club gains an adaptive footballer who can play in a variety of positions in the middle of the park.

The Akron University standout holds a Canadian passport and counts as an international towards Orlando City's roster. Still, for an attack-minded midfielder who scored 11 goals and recorded seven assists last year, that risk, coupled with his free price tag against the salary cap, makes Laryea an interesting prospect.
