San Jose Earthquakes loan Leandro Barrera to Club Atletico San Martin

The San Jose Earthquakes have sent midfielder Leandro Barrera to Argentine outfit Club Atletico San Martin on loan through the end of the 2016 calendar year, the club announced Wednesday.

Barrera, 24, made six appearances for the Quakes last season, having joined the team out of the now-defunct Chivas USA at the top of the 2015 campaign.

The attack-minded player failed to score in those six appearances, but found the back of the net once for Chivas in 2014.
