Report: Brazilian striker Julio Baptista to join Kaka at Orlando City
Orlando City is reportedly on the cusp of signing former Brazilian international striker Julio Baptista, according to Brazilian news outlet Globo.
The move, which would add to Orlando's already impressive attacking ranks, seems to have been confirmed by club captain Kaka, who took to Twitter to welcome his old teammate to the Lions.
Another life and career moment that we'll course together! Welcome @J_Baptista81 to @OrlandoCitySC #thebeast #labestia

Baptista, 34, has had a storied career, having spent time with teams like Roma, Arsenal, and Real Madrid. Last with Cruzeiro in his native Brazil, the 6-foot-1 burly striker will be looking to bring his goal-scoring instinct to Florida, though he'll need to compete with Canadian striker Cyle Larin for a starting role.
