Josh Barnett describes Ben Rothwell choke hold as 'delicate, yet firm'

Maybe getting choked out by Ben Rothwell isn't as bad as it looks.

At a fan Q-and-A in Zagreb, Croatia, one question forced UFC heavyweight Josh Barnett to recall the painful submission hold that caused him to tap out in his most recent fight against Rothwell in January.

Rothwell headlines UFC Fight Night 86 on Sunday opposite Junior dos Santos and Barnett was asked what Dos Santos could be in for if the Brazilian finds himself in Rothwell's patented gogo choke.

"Being on the bad end of Ben Rothwell's choke, it was like a slight massage," said Barnett. "My neck was very tight and so he was in there, he was also working my traps a little bit, and his grip was delicate, yet firm, his hands were very smooth and you could tell that he took a lot of care in his appearance and he had just recently had a very well done manicure."

The fan followed up by asking Barnett if it was the first time he'd been submitted, to which "The Warmaster" offered another tongue-in-cheek response.

"Outside of the bedroom? Yeah."
