Middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Robert Whittaker could possibly meet in November, according to Bloody Elbow's Tim Bissell, citing a source close to the situation.
Should the bout take place, one venue in consideration is Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, a home site for Whittaker.
According to the source, Bisping is reluctant to take the bout, presumably preferring a title shot or a more famous name after winning a decision against all-time great Anderson Silva in February.
The No. 6-ranked Whittaker recently defeated Rafael Natal at UFC 197 at UFC 197 in April to extend a five-fight winning streak. He's currently out of action with a broken hand.
Whittaker and Bisping were actually scheduled to fight each other last November, only for Bisping to bow out with an elbow injury.
