Report: Rousey likely to remain WME-IMG client after UFC sale

Despite the acquisition of the UFC by her talent agency, WME-IMG, and its partners, it appears that former women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will continue to be represented by the company, ESPN's Darren Rovell reports.

There's no conflict of interest for the UFC's new owners and Rousey as her fights were never negotiated by WME-IMG, Rovell notes.

Rousey hasn't stepped foot inside the Octagon since losing her title to Holly Holm in devastating fashion at UFC 193 in November.

However, she remains one of the UFC's biggest stars, and will presumably continue to be a focal point of the promotion under its new management.

With Amanda Nunes earning the bantamweight title at UFC 200, speculation has again turned to when Rousey will make her return to the UFC.

The 29-year-old is expected to be given a title shot upon her return, with president Dana White saying he hopes to see her back by the end of 2016 or soon after.

"She feels great. Her spirits are great. She's been training," White said in June. "If she fights, I'm hoping she fights December. If not, she would probably fight at the New Year's show at beginning of (next) year."
