Lesnar still subject to USADA testing
So long as Brock Lesnar has a contract with the UFC, he's going to have to put up with their drug testing policies.
The 39-year-old wrestler made a successful return to the Octagon last Saturday when he won a unanimous decision against Mark Hunt at UFC 200.
Prior to that bout, there was some controversy over Lesnar being given an exemption from the rule that a fighter coming out of retirement must inform the UFC four months in advance so they can immediately begin USADA testing.
Regardless, when Lesnar's return was officially announced on June 4, he proceeded to undergo the same testing as every other UFC athlete. According to USADA spokesperson Ryan Madden, Lesnar will continue to do so until he makes a decision on his fighting future.
"To my knowledge, Brock Lesnar has not notified USADA of his retirement from the UFC," Madden told MMA Fighting's Marc Raimondi. "Therefore, he remains subject to USADA testing and the UFC anti-doping policy."
Lesnar's situation is complicated by his unique working relationship with the WWE. He is scheduled to perform at their annual SummerSlam event on Aug. 21 and hasn't given any indication on what he plans to do after that.
