Michael Page left a chilling impression on Evangelista Santos.
At a Bellator MMA event Saturday in London, Page leveled Santos with a vicious flying knee that left Santos face down on the mat.
A day later, Santos confirmed to Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting that he suffered a fracture in his forehead.
"I'm under observation now, and will have surgery in the United States," Santos said. "I had a serious injury, but Bellator is giving me all the support I need."
Santos' ex-wife Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino shared an Instagram photo of the aftermath:
"He has not had surgery yet and there is worry the brain can continue to swell causing more damage," Justino wrote.
With the injury leaving Santos unable to work, Justino has put together a GoFundMe page to support him.
Bellator commentator Jimmy Smith tweeted he was told by one of the cut men that Santos' injury resembled that of a car crash victim.
