Liam McGeary's first fight in over a year could be his toughest yet.

Bellator MMA president Scott Coker said the light heavyweight champion will defend his belt against Phil "Mr. Wonderful" Davis at Bellator 163 on Nov. 4 in Uncasville, Conn., according to George Willis of the New York Post.

"It's going to a big, big addition to a big lineup already," Coker said. "It's a fight I've been looking to make for the last six months, so we're excited."

McGeary, who hails from Norfolk, England, is 11-0 in his professional career, with eight of those wins coming inside the Bellator cage. He won the 205-pound title from Emanuel Newton in February 2015, then defended it with a submission of former UFC champion Tito Ortiz the following September. Since then, injuries have kept McGeary from competing.

Davis earned his title shot on the strength of three Bellator wins. He finished Emanuel Newton and Francis Carmont to win a four-man tournament in September 2015, then outpointed Muhammad "King Mo" Lawal in May to cement his No. 1 contender status.

The NCAA wrestling champion joined Bellator last year following a 9-3 (and one no-contest) run with the UFC that firmly entrenched him in the light heavyweight top 10.

On Friday, McGeary and Davis shared the news on social media, though they had dramatically different predictions of how the fight will turn out:

Also scheduled for Bellator 163 are appearances by Marloes Coenen, Paul Daley, and Brennan Ward. Coenen is set to face Talita Nogueira, according to MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz, while Daley and Ward are yet to have their opponents announced.
