Cyborg sworn in as U.S. citizen

Cris Cyborg officially became a citizen of the United States of America during a ceremony in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
Born Cristiane Justino in Curitiba, Brazil, the UFC fighter took the oath of citizenship at the L.A. Convention Center among 2,300 other applicants seeking naturalization.
As part of her application, Justino included "Cyborg" as her middle name.
The 31-year-old women's featherweight first fought in the U.S. for the Elite XC promotion in July 2008. In her 11-year career she has compiled a 17-1 record with one no-contest and is widely considered to be among the greatest female mixed martial artists of all-time.
Cyborg currently resides in Huntington Beach, Calif.
