Japanese MMA is famous for its grand entrances, but somehow we doubt this one will make the cut.
Tamarlin, the mascot of Saitama Super Arena, made its way down to ringside at Friday's Rizin Fighting Federation event to deliver flowers to fighters Rin Nakai and Kanako Murata. One look at the mascot, however, and anyone could have figured out there was no way it would fit through the ropes.
That didn't stop it from sadly sidling along the apron before the crew briefly contemplated lifting it up and into the ring.
Thankfully, the fighters put the awkward scene to rest by walking over to receive the flowers, with Murata offering an encouraging pat on the head.
Good effort there, buddy.
