Paige considering MMA run after WWE career is over
Move over CM Punk, there's another pro wrestler looking to make the jump to MMA.
Speaking to TMZ Sports alongside her fiancee, Alberto Del Rio, WWE star Paige revealed that she is considering a career in cagefighting when she's finished with wrestling. Del Rio - a world champion wrestler and former MMA fighter himself - is the president of Combate Americas and claimed that the promotion has already made overtures about the 24-year-old becoming its first British competitor.
For her part, Paige acknowledged that she's still under contract with WWE, but looks forward to exploring her MMA options in the future.
"When my time with the WWE comes to an end at some point then maybe (I'll try MMA)," said Paige. "I've actually really enjoyed it, I want to start training every single week."
Paige recently tweeted out a couple of short clips in which she can be seen practicing her grappling with Del Rio:
