Nate Diaz slams Dana White: 'This f--ker can't stop making s--t up about me'
Nate Diaz is tired of having his name besmirched.
In response to an article in which UFC president Dana White purportedly claimed he'd been turning down fights in hopes of a trilogy bout with Conor McGregor, Diaz issued a scathing tweet in which he accused White of "making shit up" about him:
The 31-year-old hasn't entered the Octagon since dropping his rematch with McGregor by majority decision last August, and when asked about the Stockton scrapper's inactivity, White has repeatedly claimed both he and brother Nick have shunned whatever matchups have been thrown their way.
Diaz had been reportedly offered a date with former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez earlier this year, presumably the one he claims to have laughed at in the tweet's caption.
Since pocketing a career-high $2 million for his rematch with the Irishman, the fan favorite has stated he wouldn't get off the couch for anything less than 10 times the payday, and took umbrage with being left off UFC 209, a card that bore his hometown's area code.
While Diaz's long-term designs remain murky, the shade he just threw at the UFC president may put a dent in his options.
