Newly retired UFC star Rumble Johnson denies he's joining Rams
Moments after announcing his retirement from MMA, Anthony Johnson is already shooting down rumors of his next venture.
"Rumble" hung up his gloves after falling to light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier in Saturday's main event of UFC 210, revealing he'd committed to a new, undisclosed venture, with his Twitter bio and background picture promptly raising speculation that the NFL's Los Angeles Rams would be involved.
Johnson took a sledgehammer to the rumblings just as quickly on Twitter, citing the sheer lunacy in moving from the Octagon to the gridiron:
No you knuckleheads I'm not playing for the Rams...

Are you crazy?!
The 33-year-old doubled down on the Tweet at the postfight presser, stating he wouldn't be joining the team's roster, nor its front office.
Johnson wouldn't fully clear the air, remaining mum on the actual nature of his newfound calling, but said he'd soon bring an end to the speculation.
