Buffer would love teaming with brother Michael for Mayweather-McGregor bout

It would only be fitting that the Fight of the Century include combat sports' two most famous ring announcers.

UFC staple Bruce Buffer told TMZ Sports that it would be an honor for he and his brother Michael to handle the introductions should the time come that boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather and MMA champion Floyd Mayweather ever cross paths.

The dual-announcing gig wouldn't be without precedent either as a similar situation occurred when Mayweather fought Manny Pacquiao.

"If you remember Pacquiao and Mayweather, my brother Michael Buffer - who I manage - I arranged for him to be in the ring and he was there along with Jimmy Lennon Jr.," said Buffer.

"Jimmy introduced Mayweather, and Michael introduced Pacquiao. Depending who's promoting this pay-per-view, is it Showtime, is it UFC, who are the powers that be calling the shots? We'll see. I would love to announce with my brother. That would just be an incredible thing to do and we'd have a blast with it."

Bruce is well known as the voice of the Octagon, while Michael gained international fame for his seemingly ubiquitous presence at every major boxing match of the last three decades.

As much as fans are eager to see Mayweather and McGregor trade punches, it's also looking like they could receive the once-in-a-lifetime treat of hearing "It's time!" and "Let's get ready to rumble!" at the same event.
