Lesnar would fight Jones 'anytime, anywhere'
As Jon Jones prepares to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 214, he revealed Tuesday that he's interested in stepping inside the Octagon with Brock Lesnar.
However, Jones said he doubts the former UFC heavyweight champion would accept.
Well, Lesnar is game.
"Would I fight Jon Jones? Anytime, anywhere," Lesnar told Greg Beacham of The Associated Press. "Right now he should be worried about D.C. on Saturday night."
Last year, Lesnar was hit with a one-year suspension for a failed doping test and had his UFC 200 win over Mark Hunt overturned to a no-contest.
It was reported last week that Lesnar is eyeing a potential return to MMA by re-entering the USADA testing pool, but that rumor was quickly quashed.
Still, Lesnar could come back to the UFC at the end of his ban and there will likely be no fight that would be as profitable as fighting Jones, who's long been considered the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
Jones would have to make the jump up to heavyweight to face Lesnar, a daunting task, but in this era of superfights in the UFC, nothing should be ruled out.
