'Mighty Mouse' jokes that he'd fight McGregor, Sonnen for right price

Demetrious Johnson doesn't want to talk about superfights unless there's a few extra zeroes involved in the payday.

The flyweight division was all but cleared out on Saturday after "Mighty Mouse" put a one-sided beating on Wilson Reis in the main event of UFC on FOX 24. At the evening's post-fight presser, Johnson was asked who he'd like to fight next after defending the 125-pound championship for a record-tying 10th consecutive time, and he gave a curious answer.

"It would be Chael Sonnen because he would sell the hell out of that pay-per-view," said Johnson, evoking the former 185-pound contender who now competes for Bellator.

Johnson's callout may have seemed like it came out of left field, but it related to his in-cage interview following Saturday's win in which he implored UFC president Dana White to hook him up with a seven-figure payday for his next fight.

Though he never captured a world title himself, Sonnen became notorious for his willingness to say anything in the name of promoting a bout, and he was an integral part of several high-grossing events. Johnson is hunting for an opponent who will handle the lion's share of the promotion, and he threw Conor McGregor's name into the mix as well.

"I'll f-----g fight Conor McGregor for the biggest payday of my life," said Johnson. "If I got knocked out, perfect. Thanks Conor, you weigh 170 pounds, but guess what I'm going to be laughing all the way to the bank.

"So when people try to call me out like, 'Oh, you're scared.' No, dude. Come down to 125 and we can fight. But if you ask me who would I like to fight and I know I'm going to make the most money, I'll fight Conor McGregor."

Considering how many people want a piece of McGregor, Mighty Mouse might have to take a number.
