Dodson outstrikes Wineland for unanimous decision win
"The Magician" was at his most mystifying on Saturday.
John Dodson put on a striking clinic against Eddie Wineland as he took a one-sided unanimous decision in their bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville, Tenn.

Giving up several inches in height and reach, Dodson moved in and out of Wineland's range like a bumblebee, dissecting the one-time UFC title challenger to pick up his third win in four fights at 135 pounds.
Dodson moved up a division last April after two failed bids to unseat flyweight king Demetrious Johnson and so far the move has paid off. He is now 8-3 inside the Octagon overall.
Though Dodson was unable to exhibit the knockout power that made him a contender at 125 pounds, he hurt Wineland repeatedly with punches to the body and blows to the face that left his opponent bleeding from the nose.
It was in Round 2 that Dodson began to assert himself, pressing the action and landing a sharp head kick to the side of Wineland's dome.

No stranger to KOs himself, Wineland simply couldn't find the range in this one and he was left either swinging at air or attempting to walk down the speedy Dodson. The decision loss snaps a two-fight winning streak for Wineland and he sees his UFC record fall to 5-6.
