Kimbo Slice Jr. booked for Bellator 179 in London

Ten months after Kimbo Slice was supposed make his London debut, his son will carry on the family legacy.

Kevin Ferguson Jr. (better known as "Kimbo Slice Jr." or "Baby Slice") has been booked to fight DJ Griffin at Bellator 179 in London, England on May 19. The promotion confirmed the bout Friday, following a report from The Sun.

A wildly popular fighter, Slice Sr. was scheduled to fight James Thompson at Bellator 158 in London last July, only to pass away from heart problems a month before the event.

Baby Slice made his professional debut at Bellator 165 last November, losing by submission in the second round to Aaron Hamilton. He went 1-0 as an amateur before being signed to the Bellator promotion that his father competed for twice.
