Albert Tumenov didn't need long to make the UFC rue the day it cut him loose.
In his Absolute Championship Berkut debut, "Einstein" flattened Ismael de Jesus in just 46 seconds with a furious combination in St. Petersburg on Saturday. De Jesus fearlessly backed Tumenov against the cage, but the UFC alum was undeterred by his stalking, as he cracked the charging Brazilian, first with a left, then with a short, stiff right that sent him to the canvas face-first.
Tumenov got back in the win column and improved to 18-4 as a pro with his 12th career knockout after tapping to each of his last two opponents. The welterweight prospect left the UFC with a promotional record of 5-3 and wins over Alan Jouban and Lorenz Larkin to his name before joining ACB on a three-fight deal earlier this year.
