Dominick Reyes signed the contract for his first UFC fight as a replacement with just 17 days' notice.
He won it in 29 seconds.
Dubbed "The Devastator," Reyes more than lived up to his nickname with a scintillating first-round knockout of Joachim Christensen at UFC Fight Night 112 in Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Reyes came into this fight with a reputation as a finisher, having won all of his previous bouts by KO. He didn't disappoint, blitzing Christensen with a series of straight punches before pounding him out on the mat.
According to broadcaster Jon Anik, the finish was the second fastest by a debuting light heavyweight in the history of the UFC.
