Gabi Garcia's foray into combat sports took another surreal turn on Friday.
In her shootboxing debut, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu star floored the shockingly undersized 45-year-old Megumi Yabushita with a right hand before cracking her downed foe with an illegal soccer kick that rendered the bout a no-contest at S-Cup 2017 in Japan.
Garcia - who also competes in Rizin FF, where soccer kicks are perfectly kosher - initially appeared befuddled by the referee's decision to waive the fight off, although she later apologized to Yabushita.
Sometimes, size does matter.
