Vegas by the numbers ahead of Mayweather vs. McGregor
There's nothing quite like fight week in Las Vegas. Parties, celebrities, degenerate levels of boozing and betting.
You name it, you'll find it on the strip.
But, this week, in anticipation of arguably the biggest North American sporting event in history - Mayweather vs. McGregor - Sin City is going to be especially wild.
Here are some of the more intriguing numbers from around Vegas in the lead up to the fight, as reported by Egina Garcia Cano from the Associated Press:
$329: Cost of a room on a two-night weekend stay at the MGM Grand - a price that's already been lowered three times in an effort to fill vacant rooms.
$200: Average price per night for rooms at other hotels on the strip.
18,000: Capacity of T-Mobile Arena for boxing events.
$25,000: Villas at Caesar's Palace - sorry, they're fully booked.
6: Theaters that regularly host Cirque du Soleil shows will be showing the fight.
$1,400 to $17,000: Price range of available ticket left for Saturday's bout.
$150: Cost to view the fight from one of the many MGM properties in the city.
