Carmouche-Davis rematch among 5 fights booked for UFC Fresno
Liz Carmouche will aim to right a four-year-old wrong when the UFC takes the Golden State in December.
The former women's bantamweight title challenger will debut at flyweight when she meets Alexis Davis at UFC Fight Night 123 on Dec. 9 in Fresno, Calif., the promotion announced Thursday.
Carmouche dropped a unanimous decision to Davis back in November 2013, the first loss in a two-fight skid she's since atoned for with decision wins over Lauren Murphy and Katlyn Chookagian. The latter victory came in her most recent outing at UFC 205.
Davis has alternated wins and losses over her past four outings and last outpointed Cindy Dandois at UFC Fight Night 108 in April. The 32-year-old makes her UFC 125-pound debut with a promotional record of 5-2.
Also booked for the card at Save Mart Center are the following four fights:
- Lightweight: Scott Holtzman vs. Darrell Horcher
- Middleweight: Eryk Anders vs. John Phillips
- Middleweight: Antonio Braga Neto vs. Trevin Giles
- Flyweight: Alex Perez vs. Carls John de Tomas
A headliner has not yet been attached to the December bill.
