Watch: Saint Preux uses Von Flue choke to submit Okami

Just start calling Ovince Saint Preux "Mr. Von Flue" - or just call the move "The Von Preux Choke."

The light heavyweight contender ended Yushin Okami's night quickly in the first round of the main event at UFC Fight Night 117 by submitting him with the Von Flue choke in a minute and fifty seconds. The fight went to the ground almost immediately, and once Okami allowed OSP to control his head, it was only a matter of seconds before the hold was set and the bout was over. It was the second fight in UFC history that was ended with zero significant striking attempts.

Saint Preux, who entered the night as the UFC's sixth-ranked light heavyweight, now owns three of five Von Flue choke finishes in the promotion's history, including his previous win over Marcos Rogerio de Lima.

Okami, who took the fight on six days notice, was fighting in his first UFC bout in four years and his light heavyweight debut. Saint Preux had been originally scheduled to fight Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, and said after the win that he would still like to face the veteran.

Saint Preux tied Conor McGregor for the fourth-most finishes in the UFC since 2013 with seven stoppages. His ninth win in the light heavyweight division since 2013 is also the most wins in his weight class.
