Romero Borella submits Faria with 1st-round rear-naked choke in UFC debut
Mara Romero Borella coudln't have scripted her UFC debut any better.
In just the second women's flyweight bout in promotional history, the newcomer submitted Kalindra Faria in just two minutes and 54 seconds at UFC 216 in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Borella scored a takedown in short order before moving to full mount, then back control as Faria desperately tried to escape the precarious position. Once she'd seized her fellow debutant's back, it was only a matter of seconds before the Italian native coiled her arms around Faria's neck for the tapout.
The Invicta FC alum - also the first Italian woman to grace the Octagon - improves to 12-4 as a pro with her sixth straight victory, while Faria sees a three-fight win streak snapped in her return from a 13-month layoff.
