Werdum to face Tybura in Sydney; Hunt blasts White after being pulled
Warning: Story contains coarse language
Heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Marcin Tybura will face off in the main event of UFC Fight Night 121 in Sydney, Australia on Nov. 19. Werdum is replacing Mark Hunt, who was pulled due to medical concerns, the promotion announced Tuesday.
Hunt, however, took to Instagram, calling out Dana White for pulling him from the card and threatening to levy another lawsuit.
Hunt, typically a fan favorite in Australia and his native New Zealand, did not necessarily deny an injury, but he seems quite confident he would be able to fight.
Werdum (22-7-1) is stepping back into action very quickly - considering he just fought last Saturday at UFC 216 - after taking out Walt Harris, in place of an injured Derrick Lewis. The 40-year-old Brazilian had lost two of his previous three fights prior to submitting Harris.
Tybura (16-2) will be facing his toughest test to date with Werdum. The 31-year-old is 3-1 in the UFC, earning victories in his last three bouts.
