Mayweather: I could make $1 billion in '3- or 4-fight deal' with UFC
Floyd Mayweather says he could earn a billion dollars if he decided to come out of retirement and sign with the UFC.
The 40-year-old made the claim during an Instagram Live session, which was saved by FightHype.com.
"They just called me not too long ago and asked me to come back. I can come right back. If I want to, I can come right back to the UFC," Mayweather said. "I can go fight in the Octagon, I can go do a three- or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars. Remember, I'm Floyd 'Money' Mayweather."
Mayweather, who received a reported $100-million fight purse for his Aug. 26 boxing match against Conor McGregor, recently boasted that he "carried" the UFC star through his 10th-round knockout win.
"Everybody trying to protest the Mayweather-McGregor fight. But I'm gonna tell you all the truth," Mayweather said. "You know I carried McGregor. You know I made it look good for you all."
