Report: Kimbo Slice Jr. meets Brock at Bellator event in Missouri
On what would have marked his late father's 44th birthday, Kimbo Slice Jr. booked his next dance partner.
The progeny of the late Kimbo Slice will face Devon Brock in a 160-pound catchweight bout on the main card of Bellator's visit to The Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. on April 13, MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani reported Thursday.
"Baby Slice" - born Kevin Ferguson Jr. - has spent his entire pro career under the Bellator banner. The Team Bodyshop member tapped to Aaron Hamilton in his debut two Novembers ago but has since righted the ship with a first-round TKO of DJ Griffin and a quick submission of Fred Freeman at Bellator 179 and 187, respectively.
After going 5-0 on the amateur circuit, Brock made his first walk to the cage as a pro last month at Bellator 192, where, fittingly enough, he took a unanimous decision over Khonry Gracie - son of MMA luminary Royce Gracie.
The event's headliner will see Brent Primus defend his lightweight crown against Michael Chandler in a rematch. Slice's undefeated teammate AJ McKee meets Justin Lawrence in the featherweight co-main event.
