Report: Storley vs. Buckley rounds out Bellator 197 main card
The main card of Bellator 197 is set.
Undefeated welterweight blue-chipper Logan Storley will meet Joaquin Buckley during the promotion's visit to The Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo., on April 13, officials told MMA Fighting's Alexander K. Lee on Thursday.
The 25-year-old Storley - a four-time NCAA All-American wrestler - has gotten his hand raised in all seven of his professional fights, with all but one ending by TKO. He most recently took a unanimous decision over Matt Secor in November for his second victory in the Bellator cage.
Buckley, a St. Louis native, boasts a promotional record of 3-1 and will meet Storley a hop, skip, and a jump from home on a two-fight win streak. The 23-year-old bested Vinicius de Jesus by split decision at Bellator 185 in his latest outing.
The April bill's main card is now as follows:
- Lightweight Championship Bout: Brent Primus vs. Michael Chandler
- Featherweight Bout: AJ McKee vs. Justin Lawrence
- Catchweight Bout (160 lbs.): Kevin "Baby Slice" Ferguson Jr. vs. Devon Brock
