Report: Lobov to face Caceres at UFC 223
Artem Lobov isn't hanging 'em just yet.
After announcing his October tilt with Andre Fili might be his last, the SBG Ireland member will get back in the saddle for a featherweight date with Alex Caceres at UFC 223 on April 7 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani reports.
The 31-year-old has lost two straight fights and four of six in the UFC, dropping unanimous verdicts to Fili and Cub Swanson at UFC Fight Nights 118 and 108, respectively. His last victory came in a lopsided decision over Teruto Ishihara in November 2016.
Caceres has lost three of his last four, most recently catching the short end of a split decision opposite Wang Guan at UFC Fight Night 122 in November. The 29-year-old has gone an even 3-3 since moving up from 135 pounds two years ago.
UFC 223 will see interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov clash in the main event - the stakes of which remain a mystery - with strawweight queen Rose Namajunas running it back with Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the co-headliner.
