Overeem vs. Blaydes confirmed for UFC 225

The UFC officially announced heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Curtis Blaydes will meet at UFC 225 in Chicago on June 9.

Overeem, ranked No. 2 in the division, will get back in the saddle after being violently knocked out by Francis Ngannou at UFC 218 in December. Blaydes, the No. 5 heavyweight, is on a three-win run, culminated by a decision victory over Mark Hunt in February.

Blaydes' last defeat also came at the hands of Ngannou. He lost via TKO (doctor's stoppage) in April 2016.
