UFC to induct late producer Bruce Connal into Hall of Fame

Late TV producer Bruce Connal will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame this summer, the promotion announced during UFC 223 on Saturday.

Connal - who'd played an integral role in the bulk of the promotion's shows since 1997 - passed away earlier in 2018. He will be the fifth person inducted into the hall's Contributor Wing.

"Bruce was a close friend to all of us here at UFC and he was also one of the most talented television producers I’ve ever seen," UFC president Dana White said in a statement. "Bruce did an amazing job producing the most successful events in UFC history and he will be sorely missed."

The induction ceremony will take place July 5 in Las Vegas during International Fight Week.
