Carlos Junior quickly taps Boetsch to cap UFC Glendale prelims

Make that five in a row for Antonio Carlos Junior.

The Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace extended his winning streak in short order at Saturday's UFC on FOX 29, tapping veteran Tim Boetsch with his patented rear-naked choke 4:28 into the bill's featured middleweight preliminary bout in Glendale, Ariz.

All but two of the Brazilian's seven promotional victories have come by way of submission.

Carlos Junior showed little respect for Boetsch's granite right hand, finding a home for his punches on more than one occasion, but it was on the mat that his foe's fate was sealed. Within seconds of securing a double-leg takedown, the American Top Team man tied Boetsch up with wrist control, then softened him up with ground-and-pound that produced the opening to slap on an airtight body triangle and the fight-ending choke.

Boetsch has now alternated wins and losses over his past four and tapped in five of his 11 promotional defeats.
