Derek Brunson is set to face Antonio Carlos Junior in a middleweight bout at UFC 227 on August 4 in Los Angeles, Calif., the promotion announced.

Brunson (18-6) is coming off a first-round knockout loss to Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza in a main event matchup on January 27. The 34-year-old was on a two-fight win streak prior to the defeat and is currently the UFC's seventh-ranked middleweight.

Carlos Junior (10-2) is riding a five-fight winning streak, getting his last three victories via submission. The winner of "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3" last fought on April 14, taking down Tim Boetsch in the first round with a rear-naked choke at UFC Glendale.

This is the second fight added to the Los Angeles card, joining a bantamweight title fight between champion TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt. Nate Diaz is also reportedly in talks to make his UFC return on the card.
