MVP forces Rickels into rare verbal submission without using hold

Bellator 200 took place at The SSE Arena in London, England on Friday, May 25 with North American audiences viewing the main card via tape delay starting at 9 p.m. ET on Paramount Network.

It's almost as if he never left.

Fighting in the Bellator cage for the first time since November 2016, Michael "Venom" Page scored the most impressive victory of his MMA career, defeating David Rickels with an odd verbal submission on Friday.

Page dominated Rickels so thoroughly in the first round that "The Caveman" decided he didn't have a shot. Rickels told the ref he was done just 42 seconds into the second round.

Rickels posted a video after the loss to Twitter where he appeared to point to a cut over his eye as part of the reason for his submission.

Page, a native of London, moves to 13-0 with his dismantling of Rickels (19-5). He celebrated emphatically in the cage while wearing a "Thanos hand."

Page has been criticized for not fighting opponents who are on his talent level. But he might face ex-UFC welterweight Paul Daley next, who was in attendance and responded quickly to the win.
