Rampage defeats Silva by TKO in Bellator 206 co-main event
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson defeated Wanderlei Silva via second-round TKO after multiple punches to the head Saturday in the Bellator 206 co-main event.
With the victory, Rampage evened the series with his veteran opponent at two wins each.
The fight featured a number of shots landed from both combatants looking to deliver a knockout blow. Rampage landed a right hand that dropped Silva, and then utilized a series of ground strikes to get the finish.
The battle came nearly 10 years after their last meeting, where Jackson won via first-round knockout. Silva earned the victory in the duo's first two matches.
Jackson (38-13) won his first bout in nearly two years, while there was speculation after the match that the Bellator 206 co-main event could have been Silva's (35-14-1) final fight.
